Tickets for Rea Vaya buses must be bought ahead of any trip and can be obtained from Rea Vaya stations or at clearly sign-posted, selected shops near the stations.

Tickets must be paid for in cash.

Note that tickets cannot be bought from a bus driver.

Tickets are colour-coded according to the routes for which they are issued:

• Trunk route tickets cost R6 one way. They are coloured red.
• Inner city circular routes are R3,50. They are coloured green.
• The full trip from the feeder routes to the CBD cost R9,50 one way. These tickets are coloured blue.
